OK, just a bit of fun to get people to ACTUALLY post something on this message board (apart from me!) & something new for this season are the monthly awards that anyone who is a registered user on here can vote for:

The votes placed have to be associated with any Hallen fixture taken place in August 2008. You can vote for a Hallen player, opposition player, supporters, officals etc etc.

My votes:

Goal of the Month
Tony Davis' strike for the 4th goal v Corsham.

Player of the Month
Danny Copeland for coming on and changing the game against Ilfracombe & scoring his hatrick.

Fanny of the Month
The Ilfracombe supporter who stood behind my goal in the second half & continually laughed out loud at the chances we were missing although 3-1 down - FANNY!!!

Goal : Griff's 1st V Wellington

Player : Griff, not missed training, not been on Holiday, not missed a beer all season so far.

Fanny : Griff, for telling Gateman after many a beer "If I get another 7/10 off you im gonna kill you" then getting a 7 in his next game.

Goal of the month - Danny Copeland's third against Ilfracombe.

Player of the month - The consistant Mark Reid.

Fanny of the month - Griff at Corsham when he collected the ball on the halfway line
and all the opposition in our half. Off he went like a scolded cat
only to hear the Corsham players closing him down after ten yards
of his run. Now completely knackered and in need of a fag, our
quick thinking youngster decided to chip the keeper from fifty
yards. He came so close to scoring as his effort rolled all along
the floor just reaching the confused keeper who started believeing
that it was a back pass from his own team and wasn't sure if he
could pick it up.

i got the ball off the ground and i was cold, tired and in need of a cuddle ok.

Goal(s) of the Month:- both my first (still seething that it's been classed as on OG) & second against Corsham. I can't remember the last time I scored, so have to 'big' myself up as much as possible.

Player of the Month:- would agree with The Gateman and say Reider (despite that he missed the Ringwood game to be best man!)

Fanny of the Month:- after the squeel of pain I gave in the practice match against the reserves (when I got shot by the 'Hallen Sniper'), i'll have to throw my hat into the ring for this one too!
